There are so many types of ink, which can be classified according to various methods:
(1)Printing form: letterpress, lithography, intaglio, photogravure, silk screen printing ink, etc.
     Printing methods: offset printing ink, direct printing ink and so on.
(2)Accoding to the printed material: paper used ink, metal used ink, plastic used ink, fabric used     ink, etc.
(3)Drying mechanism: osmotic drying type, oxidative polymerization type, volatile drying type,        photo-curing type, thermosetting type, the cooling-curing type ink and so on;
     Drying methods: natural drying, hot air drying, infrared drying, UV-drying, and cooling drying      type ink, etc.
(4)Color: yellow, red, blue, white, black, gold, silver, gold pink, fluorescent color, pearlescent        color, etc.
    Function: magnetic ink, anti-forgery ink, edible ink, foam ink , aromatic ink, recording ink,    etc.
    Resistance: lightfastness, heat resistance, solvent resistance, abrasion resistance, alcohol resistance, drug resistance ink, etc.
(5)Accoding to the raw material in ink: drying oil type, resin-oil type, organic solvent type, water based type, paraffin type, glycol type ink, etc.
    According to the ink form: colloidal, liquid, powdered ink.

(6)Accoding to the application: news ink, books ink, packaging inks, building materials ink, trademarks ink and so on.
 Ink is compound of pigments, binders, fillers and other additional materials.
